And so you're suggesting a new player might want to spend his first $2500 on him?Ĭome people, how many people think that would be a good move? His stun and MOAB pushback are extremely effective, not to mention he brings the lead popping for early on.Īll the heroes have their uses, some just fit into strategies more easily than others. Originally posted by battlezoby: I'm pretty sure almost nobody uses Pat Futsy (or whatever his name is) very much. Use Banks and Markets and, my favories, the Pirate Merchants to generate cash instead if you can. BTD6, a new player can easily spend more than all their income on Monkey Farmers if you're stuck in a BTD5-frame-of-mind. In BTD5, the Farmer is cheap enough compated to the amount of Monkey Money you take in. the more I write the more I remember what it like to be new to this game. Seriously, except for expensive continues and pointless skins, there isn't too many placves I can think of that it's likely to be bad a purchase. But guess what? Unless you also drop an good Insta-Monkey or do something else to make a big difference, there's a not-so-unlikely-chance you'll fail again, and dump another $400 or $500 into a continue, one or two more times, and then end up quiting anyways. NK tries to trick you into this, on hard you go through 4 and half maps, and then you might die on the last map and feel like you just can't quit after all that, and sink $400 or $500 Monkey Money into a continue. AND DON'T WASTE IT ON EXPENSIVE CONTINUES! The biggest trap here is to try to play Odyssey on a difficulty that's too hard for you. There really isn't much need to spend the cash early on. I guess I disagree with "spend you cash as fast as you get it" because you really don't need to, and it'll s-ck with you really want a hero or Monkey Knowledge and don't have the cash. I'm sure other people have opinions, we'll see if they comment below. he gives you more cash starting very early on. They only other hero I use often Captain Churchill, but he's very expensive so it's not great for anything other than harder-than-easy modes and/or double-cash mode (which costs real cash - $19.99 I think.)įor medium difficulty, Ben is pretty awesome an a normal staple. Since he's kinda new, I'm not sure if I can easily describe why he's so awesome, but he is. Saude is pretty new so and a lot of people like him. Once you get in high waves and have to worry about Camo, ETIENNE is pretty awesome because he give Camo detection to all your towers/monkeys. She's not too expensive and kills everything but Camo. Personally, I like Adora, because she's pretty awesome on all the 1-40 easy waves. I'm pretty sure almost nobody uses Pat Fusty (or whatever his name is) very much. That aside, I think Evilsod's advice is pretty good, except you probably want to try to pick which Hero's are best rather than grab all of them. Arrg! Someone said "Hero skins?" Why would you advice someone to buy stuff that's strictly cosmetic (except for the few exception where you might really hate to look-at or listen-to the default skin.)
